JUJUTSU

Jujutsu is originally a Japanese based martial art dealing primarily with unarmed combat. However today much of what we see in the contemporary media is a more sport oriented version, such as Brazilian Jujutsu or Judo.

Both of these martial arts are highly effective, yet different styles. Leading Edge is a slightly more encompassing, less specific style of Jujutsu. Ground fighting is a significant portion of our training, yet it is certainly not all of it. And although many people will state statistics on how many fights end up ‘on the ground,’ it is safe to say that nearly all fights start on the feet.

Our Jujutsu program works with take downs and submissions, as well as how to flow from grappling, to striking and back to submission fighting. This concept is extremely important for Law Enforcement as well as any citizen concerned about liability.

The Jujutsu program leans heavily on Jujutsu as a source for its curriculum. However, it will also include some MTKB curriculum, Shooto, stick submissions and Silat.
